The site was the determining factor when Capio chose “Löwenströmska”.
Capio Anorexi Center AB is since the beginning of February (year?) carrying on with highly specialized treatment of eating disturbances at a treatment home at “Löwenströmska” with its great natural beauty. It is unique in its way as it has a specific programme for treating persons with eating disturbances and eating disturbances in combination with another psychiatric or somatic diagnosis. The treatment home has accommodations for 12 patients.
- We receive patients from the whole country. That is why the strategical site was of such great importance for us. With its nearness to both Arlanda and The City of Stockholm you can easily get here, says Mimmi Agéle Hellström, the developing leader at Capio Anorexi Center AB.
Capio carries on since many years back with highly specialized treatment of eating disturbances by treating both in-patients and day treatment at the nearby “Löwenströmska” hospital. They had had their eyes on these premises since a long time back as they are extremely suitable for the type of activity they are now carrying on. But of course the premises were carefully renovated before it was time to move in.
- In this process we have had a very positive co-operation with Savana. We have been able to come to terms in an easy way. They have kept their promises and appointments in a way I had never dreamt of. Above all we feel as if they have had a real interest in the activity that will be carried on in the premises and they make sure that the renovating is made according to our needs.
As an example Mimmi tells us that they have devoted great care to the heating and ventilation systems, something that is especially important when persons suffering from eating disturbances will stay in the premises. Mimmi says it is a good thing that there were few persons whom she had to keep in touch with and that it was always easy to reach the right person.
- I hope that the whole area will continue to develop, above all because the buildings are so fine and the surroundings are so beautiful. As a matter of fact it is not so important what kind of activity there will be. But if I may wish I would fancy a school, It would be fun to co-operate. And I might also think of conference activities.
